Back again with a new lipstick focused post from Bite Beauty, I clearly can’t get enough of them. (Seriously, check them out) They recently launched their liquid lipsticks and I couldn’t get more excited over the brand and all the products that they keep coming out with.

It’s no surprise that the first time I got my hands on a liquid lipstick, I was obsessed. I couldn’t get over lipsticks that wouldn’t budge on my lips and wouldn’t go all over the place, meaning, I could eat and drink my Starbucks happily without having to check the mirror every few minutes.
Ever since I fell in love with Bite, I’ve been waiting for them to release a liquid lipstick and they finally have and I couldn’t be happier! So far, they’ve launched 12 shades and I wouldn’t be surprised if they launched even more and expanded the collection in the future. (Well, what do you know, they launched 6 more as I was working on this post!)

Focusing on the 3 shades that I received, I love that they all vary from one another significantly. There’s a bright red, a nude and a darker nude shade, at least one is bound to work with one’s skintone. The shades received are: Demi-Glace, Flambé, and Éclair.

1. Demi Glace, chocolate mauve
First up, we’ve got Demi Glace, while I would still consider this a nude, it’s more on the darker side than what I’m used to. The applicator for the liquid lipstick is a doe-foot applicator making it easy to stay within the lines of your lips. For me, I actually had to apply two coats to get the result seen in the left image, the first layer came out a little uneven, but the second layer made up for it. Personally, I prefer how it looks blotted (right image) than with the shine but I’m sure I’d figure out a look to pair it up with.
2. Flambé, vivid poppy
I’m not usually the first one to grab a bright shade, while I prefer to stick with my nudes and dusty rose shades, I do really want to experiment more with bold and bright shades. I think they’re so much fun and definitely something I want to get comfortable with. Flambé is a bright reddish-orange shade on me and I literally want to wear it all day, everyday. Whether blotted or not, I love how bold it is and how one layer is enough to cover my lips. It really brings your look together if you’re really lazy and just doing a minimal look.
3. Éclair, soft rose
I didn’t expect this to be as pink as it ended up being, I was more expecting a dusty rose type of colour. None the less, it’s a nice pop of colour to brighten up one’s day while staying a bit more on the reserved side of things. The pigmentation of this is just like the pigmentation for Flambé, one swipe does all. Literally, one layer of product and your lips are set to take on the day!

I love that these liquid lipsticks differ from others as they don’t have a matte finish, they’re creamy and give a satin-finish. You can even blot them for a matte effect. They’re super pigmented, glide easily onto your lips and comes with an applicator that makes it super neat and tidy to apply.

The packaging is slick and comes with a little clear window at the bottom so you’re guaranteed to know the shade you’re picking out. I love that it comes in a square tube so it doesn’t go rolling all over the place, the tubes are also the Bite signature matte grey material.

The Amuse Bouche liquified lipsticks retail for $28 CAD/$24 USD at Sephora. With 18 total shades to choose from, you’re bound to find the perfect one for you! (I’ve already picked up 6 more in addition to these 3, haha)
What are your thoughts on liquid lipsticks? Are you a fan of them?

Eclair is a gorgeous colour! I rarely wear lipstick nowadays (I’m all about the tinted balms), but I’ve been hearing great things about these lippies!
