There’s nothing more exciting than one of your most liked makeup brands having a collaboration with an influencer/Youtuber that you’ve looked up to for a while. This is how it felt for me when e.l.f. Cosmetics announced their collaboration with Heart Defensor (aka ThatsHeart)! I was so over the moon with joy that she was in the works with e.l.f. on a product!

e.l.f. Cosmetics has been around for quite some time now and they’re a lot more accessible currently than they were when they first launched in Canada. At first, it was mostly online ordering to get a hold of their products, but now you can easily find them at Loblaws, Old Navy, Wal-Mart, Rexall and other retailers.
When the highlighter palette first launched, it sold out pretty instantaneously, but luckily, I was able to get hold of the 1st restock and picked up a couple for myself and friends. One thing I love about e.l.f. is that it’s so affordable and it’s good quality. I find that you get what you pay for and even more.

The highlighter comes in this rose gold packaging and includes a mirror inside. There are two sides of the highlighter that can be used both individually or mixed together. Each side of the highlighter are named accordingly: Coffee and Cream. The shades are perfect for all skin tones and can be adjusted accordingly to how much glow you want.
I’m personally a big fan of the two shades mixed together but I can definitely see myself gravitating towards one shade more than the other varying on what look I’m going for when using the product.

The product itself is super pigmented and can be easily applied. It’s definitely a buildable product and doesn’t come off as chunky. A little definitely goes a long way with this highlighter. For the price and the size of the product, I think it’s a great item to own if you can get your hands on it.
Have you picked this up? What are your thoughts?

Elf has really nailed it with their packaging for this…it looks luxurious compared to their regular packaging. It reminds me a lot of the Becca Split Pans! Is it bad I want to purchase it mostly for aesthetic reasons?!
